.—The Tennessee Pastors Network will host an important meeting Thursday regarding the opioid crisis that has “decimated” families in rural Tennessee, said the chapter’s leader, Dale Walker.

“The opioid crisis has decimated many families in rural Tennessee,” said Walker, who pastors a church in Celina. “Those who have suffered this nightmare deserve a chance to tell their story to people who care and can help.”
Attending the meeting will be Mike Beatty, director of the Center for Faith-Based and Community Partnerships with the USDA. Beatty will also share information with churches about assistance available to faith-based groups to address the opioid crisis in their communities.
