Tennessee Pastors Network President Dale Walker: Walgreens Caved As Target Did – Men Are Welcome in Ladies’ Bathrooms

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California provided details last week on Walgreens’ recently adopted policy to allow males that say they identify as female to use the women’s restroom, reported ChristianNews.net.

“All individuals have a right to use restroom facilities that correspond to the individual’s gender identity, regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth,” reads the nationwide drugstore chain’s policy document entitled “Transgender Inclusion,” dated effective Nov. 21, 2017, under a section on restroom accessibility.

The policy also generally prohibits any type of harassment or discrimination against those with gender dysphoria, outlining that those who do so may be subject to discipline or termination.

Tennessee Pastors Network president, Dale Walker, states,

“Walgreens has bowed to the throne of ACLU pressure and changed their policy on bathrooms. But is this just a policy change, or is it yet another way major corporations engage in the cultural battle against sincerely held beliefs of Christians?  Apparently, Walgreens no longer wants the business of those who hold traditional marriage values or the business of families that would not want a male in the bathroom with their daughters.

“These recent actions prove the ‘Bathroom Battle’ is far from over and has not been flushed, as some want us to think.  A Tennessee State Representative recently informed me that a Bathroom Bill was not necessary in the state of Tennessee.  Really?  These fearful politicians might change their minds when their wives, daughters or granddaughters are faced with men in their bathrooms at work, school or now…at Walgreens. If millions of consumers refuse to do business with Walgreens, this drugstore chain might find more than their bathrooms empty!”

The American Family Association has created a petition urging Walgreens to reverse its decision.

“Walgreens’ store policy endangers women and children by allowing men to frequent women’s restrooms. As an example, since a similar public policy was announced by Target Stores, Inc. two years ago, dozens of women and children have been victimized by male predators inside Target stores,” the petition asserts. “Walgreens’ new policy could potentially result in female customers becoming victims of voyeurism, sexual assault and physical attack.”

It is also requesting calls to the Walgreens corporate office at 800-925-4733.
