— TNPN President Dale Walker Will Serve as Closing Speaker at Nashville Event on Saturday Morning —

 

Over the past several months, a damaging series of undercover videos exposing the gruesome, behind-closed-doors practices of the abortion giant Planned Parenthood has caused both lawmakers and Americans to take action.

 

A congressional investigation is currently under way against the nation’s largest abortion provider, and legislators are also exploring options of defunding Planned Parenthood of more than $500 million in federal funds while the investigation continues.

 

This weekend, citizens will gather at more than 250 organized, peaceful protests at Planned Parenthood locations on the morning of Oct. 10. In Tennessee, four protests are planned for Johnson City, Knoxville, Nashville and Pigeon Forge. Read more here.

 

The Tennessee Pastors Network (TNPN, www.tnpastors.net) is encouraging pro-life Tennesseans to consider their duty to stand for unchanging moral truth established by God’s Word about the sacredness of all life.

 

TNPN President Dale Walker will be featured as the closing speaker and will offer a closing prayer at the Nashville event, set for 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Nashville Health Center—Planned Parenthood at 412 Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Blvd.

 

“The immensely disturbing practices of Planned Parenthood should move all people of faith to action,” Walker said. “These organized expressions of faith around the country on Saturday are an opportunity to not only take a tangible stand for life, but also exercise our First Amendment rights of assembly to stand for biblical truth that establishes the value of all life. Generations of unborn babies depend on all of us to stand for them now. And most importantly, we must always remember that God created every human being in His image—no matter how small—and knew each of us intimately before He knit us together in our mother’s womb. Once we forget that miracle of life, we abandon all that the Creator had in mind for each of His children.”

Working with the protest initiative is David Daleiden of The Center for Medical Progress (CMS)—the pro-life group that released the undercover videos. A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that CMS “may comply with a congressional subpoena for undercover video footage related to its Planned Parenthood investigation despite a temporary restraining order,” reported the Washington Times.

 

The Nashville event on Saturday featuring Walker will open with prayer and a welcome at 9 a.m., followed by a walk to Charlotte Avenue, where participants will stand in peaceful protest. Then at 10:45 a.m., all will return to the staging area for Walker’s comments and prayer.
